Ketu North Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, has awarded a scholarship package worth GHC1.3 million to support 302 tertiary students in his constituency. The initiative, aimed at easing the financial burden of students from underprivileged backgrounds, is part of his broader vision to enhance education in Ketu North.
The scholarship beneficiaries, drawn from various tertiary institutions across the country, received financial aid to cover tuition fees and other academic-related expenses. Speaking at the award ceremony, Hon. Agbana emphasized his commitment to ensuring that brilliant but needy students have access to quality education.
"Education is the key to transforming our constituency, and I am committed to investing in the future of our youth. This scholarship program is just the beginning. We will continue to provide support to ensure that financial difficulties do not prevent our students from achieving their academic dreams," he stated.
Hon. Agbana, a strong advocate for youth empowerment, noted that the initiative aligns with his broader educational agenda for Ketu North. He pledged to expand the program in the coming years to support more students.
