Mahama has a lot to campaign about, the people love him. - J.J Rawlings

The former president of Ghana and the founder of the main opposition party "NDC" Jerry John Rawlings has said in an interview that the party structures were misplaced after NDC took over governance in 2008, and lamented bitterly about the situation and believed that it was one of the main reasons why his party lost the 2016 elections. Mr. Rawlings said, if we will revisit our core values as social democrats, I believe so well that the 2020 elections will be hands down win for the NDC.

The former president and the first president of the fourth republic of Ghana said Ghana needs more social interventions as well as infrastructural developments in other to enhance livelihoods and improve the standard of living in Ghana.
He was also asked about the upcoming presidential primaries in his party and how best they were preparing for the December primaries, the Ex-President John Rawlings said, everything is in place and he has been consulted on several grounds about the elections and wish all candidates well. In his view, he said all the candidates are good and could carry the country to a more better economy than what we are seeing now and hope that the current executive and stakeholders of the party will administer free and fair polls in other to avoid strive amongst themselves.

But he is advising all candidates to be retrospect in their campaign messages because they are brothers.
