WHY NDC LOST 2016 ELECTIONS REVEALED

President John Dramani Mahama
The former President of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama led the biggest opposition party and the then incumbent government NDC to the national elections. The NDC lost to NPP with a wide margin and that led to the exit of the the NDC and the John Mahama administration.
Since the 2016 elections, many wonder how the then NPP in opposition made way to win the elections with such wide margin. Several reports have been made and kept in secrete from the public but I believe so well that the best method to revealing these secretes is to investigate from the grassroots. President John Mahama was doing so well in developing the country with several unprecedented projects like hospitals, schools, clinics, stadiums, sport centers, emporiums, asphalt roads, restoring the collapse State Transport Company (STC), Building Interchanges, Affordable Housing Projects, Expanding and renovating the Ghana airport to first class, solving the hell Dumsor, providing 4 wheel drive pick ups to SHS head teachers, factories, free basic schools books and uniforms, buses to reduce transport tress and many other developmental projects across the country. President John Mahama was crowned chief wherever he went across the country for his commitment to improve their communities and livelihoods, in his quest to making Ghana an attractive country to encourage investors was on point and highly praised by the majority citizens. But, in developing a country like Ghana will offend one side the citizens and put laughter in the mouth of the other. Assumptions and reports have been made to crave the reasons why NDC lost the 2016 election with such marginable loss and most of these reports are kept secrete from the general public.
But one major reason is "COMPLACENCY", some of us and others where so comfortable with the massive improvement of our societies such that we believed NDC was going to win the 2016 elections by hook or crook, therefore some felt reluctant to go out there and vote. The NDC had a low turnout compare to 2012 elections but the NPP was massive in attendance because they really wanted to bring their party back into government, the fear of loosing the 2016 elections made NPP supporters and sympathizers turn out massive.
This finding and many other reasons were made by some NDC grassroots or underground supporters who couldn't turnout to vote during the election, they trusted for a big win from various areas of the country, considering the dvelopmental projects embarked by John Mahama and the NDC.

2012 Electoral result
2016 electoral result
The electoral report shown is to analyze the situation, Mahama in 2012 won comfortably with 325,863 margin representing 2.96%  and Nana Addo in 2016 recorvered the margin and won with 1,002,749 representing 9.45%.

Total voter turnouts 2012 for NDC and NPP = 10,823,659
Total voter turnoutS 2016 for NDC and NPP = 10,429,303
Meaning 394,356 active voters for 2012 did not vote, but one can not assume which party's turnout was low.
There is a big possibility for NDC come back 2021 if more encouragement is directed to those who couldn't vote or refused to vote for various reasons.
