Hon. Ablakwa Pushes Bill to Ban Politicians from Buying State Assets

 


In a bold move, Honourable Okudzato Ablakwa has introduced a Private Member’s Bill to prohibit politicians, public servants, and politically exposed persons from purchasing state assets. Despite an initial victory, Ablakwa emphasized the importance of this legislation to ensure transparency and prevent conflicts of interest within the government.

"I shall share our initial draft with you all for broad-based inputs in the next few days," Ablakwa stated, signalling a collaborative approach to the bill's development. The proposed legislation is expected to undergo extensive review and discussion before being presented to parliament.

Hon. Ablakwa concluded his announcement with a patriotic call, "For God and Country. Ghana First" underscoring his commitment to the nation's best interests.
