The President must reduce the excessive loan intake and focus on.. - Ex-president Kufour

Former President of Ghana.
J.A Kufour
The ex-leader of the government in power and former president of Ghana President J. A Kufuor is calling on the government to desist from taking in more loans to run affairs of the country.
The state man made this concerns during an inter with "All Tv", he stated that the current economic situation is as a result of the credit state of the country, and suggest that the president must reduce the excessive loan intake and rather focus on revenues to help resolve the uncomfortable state of the economy.
Mr. Kufour popularly known as JAK is cautioning government because the indices of Ghana's economic clock is showing negative and in the near future, more economic dissatisfaction may occur. The prudent submission he said is just an opinion in regards to his experience in governance. The current president of Ghana served under the former president for a period of 8years, occupying the ministry of foreign affairs and the Attorney general respectively. John Kufuor who lead Ghana into HIPC during his first term in office said; it is good to get flexible loans to run the economy but rather be careful the rate at which it is taken in other to reduce the risk associated with national credit or debt.
Ghana has received about $7billion in loans this year 2018 and more is expected to be taken by the current government led by President Akuffo Addo.

Government admits return of DUMSOR by energy minister - Peter Amewu

Energy Minister, John Peter Amewu has admitted that the country is currently faced with challenges in the power sector attributing the cause to an incomplete project that is meant to allow gas flow into the country.

According to him, the incomplete project is due to a disagreement over tariffs between the Energy Ministry and the regulator; West African Gas Pipeline; which have been resolved now.

Addressing the media over the recent power outages, the Minister said the regulator – West African Gas Pipeline- has finally issued the final tariff notice of 1.7 dollars per MMBtu which would be approved by the committee of ministers on the 30th of November 2018 to pave way for the signing of the Gas Transportation Agreement.
According to him, signing of the Gas Transportation Agreement will solve the current power crisis being faced in the country.

Assuring members of the public to remain calm, he said “the ministry of energy wants to assure the public that the current power problems that we have over the past few days would gradually be brought under control”.

Political Campaigns are mostly of lies and ignorant promises - President Akuffo Addo

The president of the Republic of Ghana, His excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo has said that political campaigns are mostly full of lies and ignorant promises. The president believed to have said this during an interview. This statement came with shock as he relate to campaign promises of the major opposition NDC.
The president who was the then flag-bearer of his political party "NPP" made several promises whiles in opposition which many of them are still hidden in his thoughts, he had promised to build 350 new senior high schools from scratch which one is not even built, he also promised to build one district one factory within all the district assemblies in Ghana to subsidize the unemployment situation in the country, but not one is built out of the over 250 district assemblies, the president when in opposition promised $1million for each constituency in the country yearly and this has also fallen apart and other more promises that seems to have left his memory.

In this interview he said, some of his promises were made due to the circumstances Ghanaians went through under the Ex-President Mahama led administration. He said, no government is capable of fulfilling every promise but the one which he mostly campaigned about during the 2008, 2012 and 2016 elections respectively is the free SHS which is currently ongoing. The free shs which is facing unprecedented infrastructure challenge is his pride and he promised that very soon he will start constructing more classrooms and dormitories to resolve that unbearable situation.
The president on a platform in one of his campaign tour during the 2016 elections asserted that the then NDC in government are saying that when he President Akuffo Addo assumes governance he was going to ban galamsey (illegal small scale mining), but he consistently counter oppose that claim, when he took over from the earth-wile government within the period of 100 days he did just as the then government claimed over his stand on galamsey, he banned them from mining.
So the question is, was the president playing on the mind of Ghanaians or was he saying anything to help him accomplish his childhood dreams?
The president said he will not preside over tax prone country but would rather use the resources in the country to build and improve the lives of the people in the country, but his actions are now far different from what he ever said during the 2016 campaign tour.
This is a big lesson Africa must learn from Ghana, opposition will do anything to come to power, and the populars must be conscious about it.

Wontumi is Gay, he acts and talk like one - Nii Aryitey

Many wonder if the NPP Ashanti regional chairman who is popularly known as Wontumi is Gay or not. This comes as a result of how he dresses and attack his fellow politician from  other political parties.
Nii Aryitey in an interview said; Chairman Wontumi's fashion choice is gay and he act like a woman in the media, Nii Aryitey who sympathizes with the opposition NDC says he has moved with several gays as a result of his career and can confidently confirm base on Wontumi's lifestyle that he is gay.
He said he has been observing the NPP Ashanti regional chairman so closely and observe his moves and realized he is not much into moving with women than men and he is so sure that the maverick politician is gay.
When asked by the reporter from ghanahub Tv how he Nii Aryitey came to that conclusion he said, hardly has he seen Wontumi with a woman and sources close to him says he is gay, he claimed.
He was further asked to give attributes of gays and the only thing he said was "look at Wontumi and you will know how gays live. He said NPP has too many gays in the party and that could persuade the President to legalise gay practise.

CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS MUST PRAY TO THEIR GOD FOR A MIRACLE TO SAVE GHANA'S ECONOMIC HARDSHIP - PROPHET FRANCIS ARHIN

Prophet Francis Arhin
Olive Chapel International
Founder and Prophet in charge of Olive Chapel International Prophet Francis Arhin has urged Ghanaians to ignore hopes in President Akuffo Addo and the vice president Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia to save the country from it current hardship. In an interview on ghanahubTv program "HELLO GHANA with Nii Aryitey. The Prophet made critical submissions in the interview when asked about Ghana's moving forward, he noted, both Christians and Muslims should start calling on their God for survival in this country because the state of the country demands divine intervention and not humanly made economic ideas.
Prophet Francis Arhin whose prophetic ministry has affected many lives raised serious concerns about the ailing economy and adviced government to add God in their quest to saving the country. He further submitted, that the vice president was able to convinced Ghanaians to trust in his economic genius but the situation now seem to over power his economic know how and ideas. He said the President and his government can not save Ghana and what the country needs now is a miracle from God.

"The more they (Government) employ educational or administrative strategies, the more we fail".
Prophet Francis Arhin

He said government should maintain it approach and add God.
He urged that Christians and Muslims should call on their God for a maricle to happen and this is what is going to save Ghana.
The Prophet whose ministry expand across the borders of Ghana also criticised the head of the Church of Christ who recently said in a preaching that miracles can not save Ghana.
Prophet Francis Arhin says, the leader of the Church of Christ erred for saying that miracles can not save Ghana because if miracles do not exist he won't be alive, to sleep and wake up everyday is a miracle, and told the host on the tv show Nii Aryitey that the Church of Christ leader must be apologetic about the statement he made if he really fears God.

He said the direction Ghana is leading is very critical, the dollar and the cedi situation, joblessness, companies and banks collapsing, businesses are closing and in this circumstances we need a miracle and not economic strategies. He referred to the vice president an economic guru but as situation stands now it seems all is lost for the vice president and the effect is undermining his economic potential.
He said the situation simply means that government must add God in whatsoever step they wish to take to moving this country forward and we will see brighter result soon.

PASTOR MENSAH OTABIL AND ACCOMPLICES ASK TO COUGH GHC 482million. THIS SERIOUS MISMANAGEMENT COLLAPSED CAPITAL BANK

PASTOR MENSAH OTABIL

Popular pastor, Mensa Otabil, and his church International Central Gospel Church are among 15 shareholders and directors of defunct Capital Bank sued over the collapse of the bank.

The Plaintiffs Messrs Vish Ashiagbor and Eric Nana Nipah from PricewaterhouseCoopers say the bank’s collapse was a “direct result’ of defendants’” “‘misgovernance” and “willful” breaches of banking regulations.

The writ of summons named the ‘sins’ of each of the defendants and confirmed a financial autopsy report that said its founder William Ato Essien used depositors funds as is ‘personal piggy bank’.

In one such ‘personal piggy bank’ transactions, Ato Essien request for ¢130m loan to be given to an investment company he owned, Capital and More Ltd.

But the senior management of the bank declined the disbursement of the money which was public funds from the Bank of Ghana injected to save the troubled bank in 2015.

Enter the revered Pastor Mensa Otabil who as Board chairman provided a personal guarantee that the loan to the CEO’s other company will be repaid.

The statement of claim said the money given out in 2015 has not been paid after three years.

The writ faulted the pastor for guaranteeing the disbursement even though he was “conscious at all material times” that it was in breach of banking regulations as well as against the “expressed opposition” of the senior managers.

That ¢130m was not the only loan William Ato Essien took from his bank. There was another ¢29.9m he caused to be granted companies he owned or was related to.

He later came for another ¢78.9m in loans.

The CEO has been asked in the writ to cough up more than ¢580m in shareholder loans he took as well as loans granted to companies he owned or is related to.

ATO ESSIEN
(CAPITAL BANK CEO)
In another episode of severe and acute culture of mismanagement at the defunct bank, the directors and shareholders kept ¢482m in “non-existent investments” in their books.

The central bank would later grant their request for this imaginary investment to be converted into actual loans to be paid by the shareholders.

To date, a shareholder Otabil and Associates founded by the pastor and management expert has been unable to pay ¢51.6m which is they share of the loan converted from the imaginary investments.

Otabil’s church the International Central Gospel Church which was a shareholder in the bank has also failed to pay ¢51.6m which is also their share of the 482m loan.

A third defendant, Oheneba Osei-Akoto took a ¢2.42m loan in December 2016 using his residential property at Regimanuel Gray Estates at East Legon as collateral.

The defendant and shareholder has failed to pay back the money.

The plaintiffs said these defendants are responsible for ‘serious financial loss’ at the defunct Capital bank.
