NDC LOST 2016 ELECTIONS BECAUSE OF "COMPLACENCY"..... Joe Joku
Joe Joku
Many will assume that the people of Ghana lost hope in Mahama's administration and that is the main reason why he suffered defeat in 2016. But far from that, President Mahama was very formidable and strong in his campaign during the 2016 election, he was very focus to retain his seat, but complacency of some of the NDC sympathisers and the good people of Ghana on the side of the president were definite that he was going to win the 2016 election at all cost so they never hessited to vote, said Joe Joku to our news team.
The international media mogul lamented that he was one of such persons and that is the reason why Ghana is going through hell today.
According to the business development expert, during the 2016 elections he and some family members that were honest NDC supporters were reluctant to visit the polling station to cast their vote, because he felt president Mahama has done so much to attract more efficient votes from every breadth of the country. He said President Mahama has touched every community within Ghana has been touched by one of Mahama's project and was hopeful that he will still maintain  his seat so they felt no need to vote because Mahama will win.
"After the elections I felt guilty and my family too, but we are sorry for the pain we cost Mahama and it was our prayer for NDC to bring him back so that we can give our votes back to the NDC in other for Mahama to come and deliver the good people of Ghana from this unbearable situation of the NPP government.
He also tried to do some research in various houses and communities around him to verify from neighbours and friend about their votes and most of them regretted Mahama's loss and promised to vote massively to bring him back and continue his good works.
He also advised that the NDC should take serious advantage on the 2020 elections because they are now much convincing to the people of Ghana.
